Felipe “Junito” Febres Rivera Jr.

Felipe “Junito” Febres Rivera Jr. is a Bomba exponent with over 38 years of cultural experience as a dancer, plena percussionist, instructor, actor, and educator. Since his beginnings in the Cepeda Family at age 14, he has dedicated his life to preserving and expanding Puerto Rican tradition, participating in groups such as Hermanos Cepeda, Taller Tamboricua, and Son del Batey, and performing on international stages such as New York, Paris, Ecuador, and Cuba. He has collaborated with artists such as Marc Anthony, Ricky Martin, and Juan Luis Guerra, in addition to theater projects and special productions. His commitment to teaching has led him to lead workshops at various institutions, establishing himself as a cultural leader and ambassador of Bomba and plena in Puerto Rico and around the world.
